About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern position based in Fremont, Ohio. You will work on-site under the supervision of a pharmacist to gain experience in retail pharmacy operations. This role is paid and follows a rolling application schedule.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team with daily operations in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Process prescriptions and manage patient data using pharmacy systems.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Support pharmacists in delivering patient care services, such as medication therapy management and patient counseling.
- Handle cash register transactions and sales.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Report any prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty immediately.
- Handle incoming telephone calls that do not require the direct attention of a pharmacist.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
