About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern position based in Lincolnton, North Carolina. You will work on-site and participate in a rolling term. This role is paid and focuses on providing clinical pharmacy services while supporting daily pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage and potential drug interactions.
- Perform preventive healthcare services, including administering immunizations.
- Handle the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and ensure a positive experience.
- Maintain pharmacy operations in compliance with regulations and company standards.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, workflow optimization, and financial performance.
- Use pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus, registers, and StoreNET.
- Build and maintain relationships with the local medical community.
- Help with staff training and performance management.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution.
- Willingness to secure pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
