About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern position based in Beulaville, North Carolina. You will work on-site to support pharmacy operations, patient care, and clinical services. This role is open for rolling applications.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage and preventive healthcare.
- Handle the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Engage with patients by greeting them and offering assistance to resolve issues.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness programs.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus, registers, automation, and StoreNET.
- Ensure insurance claims are processed accurately.
- Support the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and performance coaching.
- Stay current on pharmacy and healthcare developments through journals and company communications.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before starting.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a certified immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
