About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily operations and patient care. You will learn pharmacy policies, procedures, and service standards while assisting the team in accordance with state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist with prescription processing, including entering, filling, and dispensing medications.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Support patient care services, such as medication therapy management and health screenings, within your state scope of practice.
- Manage inventory by ordering, unpacking, and organizing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Handle pharmacy telephone calls and register sales at the cash terminal.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked pharmacy department.
- Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete all required training and stay updated on pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
