About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by assisting the pharmacist and pharmacy team in a retail setting. You will learn to navigate pharmacy systems, process prescriptions, and support patient care services. This role is designed to help you develop the skills and knowledge necessary to perform as a future pharmacist while ensuring a positive experience for every customer.
What you'll do#
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Assist the pharmacist with the practice of pharmacy, including prescription data entry, third-party processing, filling, and dispensing.
- Support patient care services such as medication therapy management and blood pressure screenings under pharmacist supervision.
- Handle pharmacy inventory, including ordering, unpacking, and organizing shipments.
- Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy department.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Handle non-clinical telephone inquiries and process sales transactions at the register.
- Complete all required training and stay updated on pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Location: Doral, Florida.

- Employment Type: Part-time.
- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and geography.
