About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily pharmacy operations. This role focuses on learning pharmacy policies and procedures while helping the team provide care to patients. You will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team with daily tasks and patient care services.
- Use pharmacy systems to look up patient and drug information.
- Process prescriptions and handle related sales at the register.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving concerns.
- Support inventory management by ordering, checking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Maintain the pharmacy department in a clean and organized condition.
- Handle incoming telephone calls that do not require a pharmacist's direct attention.
- Follow company policies regarding asset protection and quality improvement programs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
