About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily operations and patient care. This role focuses on learning pharmacy systems, processing prescriptions, and assisting the pharmacy team while adhering to state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist with entering, processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Support patient care services within the state scope of practice.
- Manage inventory tasks, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Use pharmacy systems to access patient and drug information.
- Handle cash register transactions and sales.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked pharmacy department.
- Report prescription errors immediately and follow company quality improvement procedures.
- Handle telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist's personal attention.
- Complete all required training and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
