About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will learn to provide patient care while assisting the pharmacist and pharmacy team. This role involves using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and manage patient information. You will gain hands-on experience in pharmacy operations, policy, and customer service while working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Engage with patients by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Assist in the practice of pharmacy, including entering, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Support pharmacists in delivering patient care services, such as blood pressure checks and medication therapy management, within your state scope of practice.
- Handle inventory management tasks like ordering, unpacking, and checking pharmaceutical shipments.
- Manage cash register sales and assist customers in locating over-the-counter products.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Report any prescription errors to the pharmacist immediately and follow company safety policies.
- Complete required training and stay informed on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- The role is on-site and paid.
