About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will learn to provide patient care while assisting the pharmacist and pharmacy team. You will work under supervision to gain experience in pharmacy operations and customer service. This role is designed to help you develop the skills and knowledge needed to perform as a future pharmacist in accordance with state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team with daily operations, including entering, processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information.
- Greet customers, offer assistance, and resolve questions or issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Handle cash register transactions and manage sales.
- Support the Pharmacy Department with inventory tasks, such as ordering, unpacking, and storing shipments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area.
- Help pharmacists deliver patient care services within the state scope of practice.
- Report any prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty immediately.
- Manage telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist's direct attention.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- This position is located in Sun City West, Arizona.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
- This is a paid internship with rolling start dates.
