About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work alongside pharmacists and pharmacy team members to learn the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. You will gain hands-on experience in patient care, prescription processing, and pharmacy management while following state and federal regulations. This role provides a foundation for your future career as a pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team with daily tasks, including entering, processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Engage with patients by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Use pharmacy systems to manage patient information and drug data.
- Handle phone calls that do not require a pharmacist's direct attention.
- Support inventory management by ordering, unpacking, and organizing pharmaceutical stock.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Register sales at the cash register.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete all required training and stay updated on pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- This is a part-time, paid position.
- The role operates on a rolling basis.
