About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will support the pharmacy team in daily operations while learning to provide patient care and customer service in accordance with state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist with entering, processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Use pharmacy systems to manage patient and drug information.
- Help deliver patient care services within your state scope of practice.
- Handle inventory tasks like ordering, unpacking, and stocking pharmaceuticals.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy department.
- Process sales on the cash register and handle cash.
- Report any prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete all required training and follow the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
