About the role#
This is a paid Pharmacy Intern position based in Maineville, Ohio. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to gain experience in a retail pharmacy setting. This role involves supporting daily operations, providing customer service, and assisting with patient care in accordance with state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the practice of pharmacy under the guidance of a pharmacist.
- Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and manage patient information.
- Interact with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Support pharmacists in delivering patient care services like medication therapy management.
- Handle cash register transactions and sales.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering and stocking pharmaceuticals.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Complete required training and stay informed on pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, which includes evenings and weekends.
