About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will learn to provide patient care by assisting the pharmacist and the pharmacy team. You will follow state, federal, and company policies while gaining hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. This position is a paid, on-site role with a flexible schedule.
What you'll do#
- Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient information and process prescriptions.
- Enter, fill, and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Assist pharmacists with patient care services, including counseling and medication therapy management.
- Handle telephone calls that do not require the personal attention of a pharmacist.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, unpacking, and storing shipments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Process sales transactions on the cash register.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Location: Greenville, Mississippi.
- Schedule: On-site, flexible hours.
- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour.
