About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will support the pharmacy manager in daily operations and clinical services. This role focuses on providing patient care, ensuring accurate medication processing, and maintaining pharmacy standards. You will work on-site in a full-time capacity.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services, including medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform clinical services such as immunizations and flu shots.
- Handle compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with workflow, inventory management, and performance data analysis.
- Counsel patients on side effects, over-the-counter products, and medication adherence.
- Process insurance claims and resolve issues with providers.
- Support staff training, coaching, and performance management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with the local medical community.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and company policies.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution.
- Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as an immunizer, or willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to maintain knowledge of pharmacy IT systems and operational processes.

- Compensation: $33.50 to $45.30 per hour.
