About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will support the pharmacist and the broader pharmacy team. You will learn to navigate pharmacy systems to manage patient information and process prescriptions. This role focuses on gaining hands-on experience with pharmacy operations while delivering quality service to patients and customers.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist with daily operations, including entering, processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, resolving issues, and building professional relationships.
- Handle pharmacy tasks such as managing inventory, unpacking shipments, and maintaining a clean, organized department.
- Support patient care services within your state scope of practice, including medication therapy management.
- Operate the cash register for sales and handle non-clinical telephone inquiries.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete special assignments as directed by the pharmacy team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, which includes evenings and weekends.

- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, based on factors such as education, skills, and experience.
