About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will assist the pharmacy team in daily operations, patient care, and prescription processing while adhering to state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Process, fill, and dispense prescriptions using pharmacy systems.
- Engage with customers and patients to answer questions, resolve issues, and offer assistance.
- Deliver patient care and health services within your state scope of practice.
- Support inventory management by ordering, unpacking, and organizing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Handle cash register sales and manage telephone inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy department.
- Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete all required training and follow the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
