About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily operations and patient care. This role focuses on learning pharmacy systems, policies, and procedures while gaining hands-on experience in a retail setting. You will assist the pharmacy team and contribute to a positive customer experience.
What you'll do#
- Assist pharmacists and team members with daily pharmacy operations.
- Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and access patient or drug information.
- Enter, fill, and dispense prescriptions according to standard operating procedures.
- Engage with patients by answering questions, resolving issues, and offering assistance.
- Support inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Handle telephone calls and register sales at the cash register.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy department.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
