About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily operations and patient care. This role focuses on learning pharmacy policies, procedures, and service standards while assisting the team in a retail environment. You will gain hands-on experience in prescription processing, inventory management, and direct patient interaction.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team with daily tasks and pharmacy practice.
- Use pharmacy systems to retrieve patient information and process prescriptions.
- Deliver patient care services, including counseling and health services like medication therapy management.
- Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Handle telephone calls and register sales on the cash register.
- Support inventory management by ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Report any prescription errors to the pharmacist immediately.
- Complete all required training and professional development activities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
