About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily operations and patient care. This role focuses on learning pharmacy systems, adhering to state and federal regulations, and delivering a positive customer experience. You will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team with daily tasks and patient care services.
- Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and manage patient information.
- Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve issues to ensure a helpful experience.
- Enter, fill, and dispense prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
- Handle telephone calls and assist with inventory management, including unpacking and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Maintain the pharmacy department by keeping it clean, organized, and properly stocked.
- Register sales and handle cash transactions.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete all required training and stay current on pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Location: Huntsville, Alabama.
- Employment: Full-time.
- Compensation: This position is paid, with an hourly range of $19.50 to $31.00 depending on skills, education, and experience.
