About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will learn to navigate pharmacy systems, support patient care, and assist with daily operations while adhering to state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist with entering, processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Support patient care services, such as blood pressure checks and medication therapy management, within your scope of practice.
- Handle pharmacy telephone calls and assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy department.
- Register sales at the cash register and help customers locate over-the-counter products.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete required training and stay current on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- The role is on-site and part-time.
