About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will learn to provide patient care by assisting the pharmacist and pharmacy team. You will follow state and federal regulations while gaining experience in pharmacy operations, customer service, and clinical tasks. This role is designed to help you develop the skills and knowledge required for a future career as a pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient information and process prescriptions.
- Assist with entering, filling, and dispensing prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Help pharmacists deliver patient services, including counseling and health screenings.
- Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Handle cash register sales and manage telephone inquiries.
- Support inventory management, including ordering and stocking pharmaceuticals.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy department.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete all required training and stay updated on pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Location: Fredericksburg, Virginia.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid position with an hourly range of $16.50 to $31.00, depending on skills, education, and experience.
