About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team to provide patient care and support pharmacy operations. You will learn how to use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and gain hands-on experience by following state, federal, and company guidelines. This role focuses on building customer relationships and developing the skills needed to perform as a future pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Assist the pharmacist with entering, processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Help deliver patient care services, such as medication therapy management and patient counseling, within your scope of practice.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, unpacking, and storing shipments.
- Handle cash register transactions and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete required training and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
