About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will learn to provide patient care while assisting the pharmacist and pharmacy team. This role involves using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and maintaining the standards required to perform as a future pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Build relationships with customers and model service best practices.
- Assist in the practice of pharmacy under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Enter, process, fill, and dispense prescriptions in accordance with company policy.
- Help pharmacists deliver patient care services, including medication therapy management.
- Handle phone calls and support inventory management tasks like ordering and unpacking shipments.
- Operate the cash register for sales and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Report any prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty immediately.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
