About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily operations and patient care. This role focuses on learning pharmacy systems, processing prescriptions, and delivering customer service in a retail setting.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team with daily tasks and patient care services.
- Use pharmacy systems to manage patient information and process prescriptions.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Handle sales transactions at the register and assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking pharmaceuticals.
- Maintain the pharmacy department by keeping it clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Handle incoming telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist's direct attention.
- Complete all required training and follow company policies regarding pharmacy operations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
