About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will support the daily operations of the pharmacy while gaining experience in clinical and retail services. This is a full-time, paid position based in Flushing, Michigan.
What you'll do#
- Provide consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, side effects, and preventive healthcare.
- Handle the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial performance, and staff training.
- Engage with patients to resolve issues and provide a positive customer experience.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, including immunizations.
- Process insurance claims and communicate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Maintain pharmacy systems and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
- You are willing to obtain pharmacist licensure within 90 days of hire.
- You are a certified immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
