About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team to provide patient care. You will learn pharmacy operations, follow company policies, and gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. This is a part-time position.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy and deliver patient care, including counseling and health services.
- Use pharmacy systems to process, fill, and dispense prescriptions.
- Engage with customers to answer questions, resolve issues, and provide assistance.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, unpacking, and checking shipments.
- Handle cash transactions at the register and manage telephone inquiries.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Report prescription errors immediately and follow all safety and quality protocols.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
