About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. This role focuses on learning pharmacy operations, patient care, and customer service standards while adhering to state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team with daily tasks, including processing prescriptions and managing inventory.
- Use pharmacy systems to retrieve patient information and drug data.
- Provide direct support to patients by answering questions and resolving issues.
- Handle cash register transactions and sales.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Support pharmacists in delivering patient care services within the state scope of practice.
- Manage incoming telephone calls that do not require the personal attention of a pharmacist.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and education.
