About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will learn to provide patient care while assisting the pharmacy team. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to gain experience in pharmacy operations, policy, and clinical services. This role is a part-time position based in Chapin, South Carolina.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and team members with daily pharmacy operations.
- Enter, process, fill, and dispense prescriptions using pharmacy systems.
- Engage with patients to answer questions, resolve issues, and offer assistance with products and services.
- Support inventory management by ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Handle incoming telephone calls and register sales at the cash register.
- Maintain the Pharmacy Department appearance and keep supplies stocked.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete all required training and stay updated on pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
