About the role#
This is a paid Pharmacy Intern position based in Duluth, Minnesota. You will work on-site under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily operations and patient care. This role is designed to help you gain practical experience in a retail pharmacy setting while you complete your education.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and manage patient information.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Support the practice of pharmacy by assisting with patient counseling and health services.
- Handle inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Register sales at the cash register and handle cash transactions.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete all required training and stay informed on pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
