About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will learn to provide patient care by assisting the pharmacist and the pharmacy team. You will use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and manage patient information. This role focuses on gaining hands-on experience with pharmacy operations, policies, and customer service standards to prepare for a future career as a pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Engage with customers and patients to answer questions and resolve issues.
- Assist the pharmacist with entering, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Support pharmacists in delivering patient care services within the state scope of practice.
- Handle cash register transactions and sales.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering and unpacking shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy department.
- Report prescription errors to the pharmacist immediately.
- Handle non-professional telephone calls.
- Complete all required training and stay updated on healthcare developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Compensation: Paid position with an hourly range of $19.50 to $31.00.
