About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily operations and patient care. You will learn pharmacy systems, assist with prescription processing, and contribute to a positive customer experience. This is a part-time, on-site role with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient information and process prescriptions.
- Greet customers, offer assistance, and resolve questions or issues.
- Build relationships with customers and model service best practices.
- Support patient care services within your state scope of practice, such as medication therapy management.
- Handle pharmacy telephone calls and register sales at the cash terminal.
- Manage inventory tasks including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and report any prescription errors immediately.
- Complete all required training and follow company asset protection policies.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
