About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily operations and patient care. This role is designed to help you gain practical experience in pharmacy systems, prescription processing, and customer service while adhering to state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team with daily tasks and patient services.
- Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient information and process prescriptions.
- Engage with customers to answer questions, resolve issues, and offer assistance.
- Handle sales transactions, including cash collection at the register.
- Manage pharmacy inventory by ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy department.
- Handle telephone calls that do not require direct pharmacist attention.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Prior experience in a retail environment is preferred.
- Previous work experience with Walgreens is preferred.
- Strong math skills to assist with accurate prescription preparation.

- Compensation: $18.00 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and education.
