About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. This position focuses on learning pharmacy operations, patient care, and customer service standards while supporting the daily needs of the pharmacy team.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team with entering, processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Use pharmacy systems to look up patient and drug information.
- Engage with customers and patients to answer questions, resolve issues, and provide assistance.
- Support inventory management by ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments.
- Maintain the pharmacy department by keeping supplies stocked and the area clean.
- Handle incoming telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention.
- Process sales at the cash register.
- Assist with patient care services, such as counseling and health screenings, within the scope of your internship.
- Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete all required training and stay current on pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
