About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern position based in Muskegon, Michigan. You will work on-site under the supervision of a pharmacist to gain experience in a retail pharmacy setting. This role is paid and supports your development as a future pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team with daily operations.
- Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and manage patient information.
- Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve issues to provide a positive experience.
- Perform tasks related to entering, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Help pharmacists and healthcare providers deliver patient care services.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, unpacking, and checking shipments.
- Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and stock levels.
- Handle pharmacy phone calls that do not require a pharmacist.
- Operate the cash register for related sales.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete all required training and stay current on pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
