About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern position based in Urbandale, Iowa. You will work on-site under the supervision of a pharmacist to learn pharmacy operations and support patient care. This role is paid and follows a rolling application process.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team with daily operations.
- Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and retrieve patient or drug information.
- Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Help deliver patient care services within the state scope of practice, such as medication therapy management.
- Manage inventory tasks including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Handle pharmacy-related telephone calls and register sales at the cash terminal.
- Report any prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy department.
- Complete all required training and follow company policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.

- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
