About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will learn to provide patient care by assisting the pharmacist and the pharmacy team. You will follow state and federal regulations while gaining experience in pharmacy operations. This role focuses on developing your skills in customer service, prescription processing, and pharmacy policy.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and team members with daily pharmacy operations.
- Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and retrieve patient or drug information.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Perform tasks such as third-party processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
- Help deliver patient care services like medication therapy management.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering and unpacking shipments.
- Register sales at the cash register and maintain a clean, organized department.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Handle pharmacy telephone calls that do not require a pharmacist.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Location: Shaker Heights, Ohio.
- Modality: On-site.
- Employment: Part-time.
- Pay: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and location.
