About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will learn to provide patient care by assisting the pharmacist and pharmacy team. You will gain experience in pharmacy operations, policy, and customer service while working under the supervision of a pharmacist in accordance with state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team with daily operations.
- Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient information and process prescriptions.
- Enter, fill, and dispense prescriptions.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and answer questions.
- Assist with patient care services within the state scope of practice.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Handle telephone calls and register sales at the cash register.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering and unpacking shipments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Pharmacy Department.
- Complete all required training and maintain knowledge of pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends.

- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
