About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily operations and patient care. This role focuses on learning pharmacy systems, adhering to state and federal regulations, and gaining practical experience in a retail setting.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team with daily tasks.
- Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and retrieve patient or drug information.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Support patient care services, including medication therapy management and counseling, within your state scope of practice.
- Handle inventory management, such as ordering, unpacking, and organizing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Register sales at the cash register and handle telephone inquiries that do not require a pharmacist.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete all required training to stay current on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and location.
