About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will support the pharmacy team in providing patient care. You will learn to use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and assist with daily operations under the supervision of a pharmacist. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting while completing your pharmacy education.
What you'll do#
- Assist pharmacists with entering, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Engage with patients by greeting them, answering questions, and helping resolve issues.
- Support pharmacists in delivering patient care services within the state scope of practice.
- Handle telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention.
- Process sales on the cash register and manage cash transactions.
- Help with inventory management, including ordering and stocking pharmaceuticals.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Report any prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty immediately.
- Complete required training and stay current on pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Location: Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Employment type: Part-time.
- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
