About the role#
This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacy Graduate Intern position in Davenport, Florida. You will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to fulfill State Board of Pharmacy requirements. This role involves performing pharmacist tasks, providing patient consultations, and supporting the overall operations of the pharmacy.
What you'll do#
- Engage in pharmacy activities including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
- Provide consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial optimization, and staff training.
- Ensure pharmacy operations follow all regulations and company policies.
- Resolve customer issues and provide support in the pharmacy workflow.
- Perform clinical and wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus, StoreNET, and automation tools.
- Follow up with medical providers to clarify prescriptions and coordinate care.
- Participate in community events and outreach.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university outside the United States.
- A Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC).
- An intern permit or certificate issued by the Board of Pharmacy, if required by your state.
- A willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure in the district within 45 days of completing your intern hours.
- Current certification as an immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
