About the role#
As a Pharmacy Graduate Intern, you will perform pharmacy activities under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to meet State Board of Pharmacy requirements. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Ironwood, Michigan, with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, side effects, and preventive healthcare.
- Assist with compounding, dispensing, reviewing, and verifying prescribed medications.
- Support efficient pharmacy workflow and help the pharmacy manager optimize inventory management and financials.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and provide a positive experience.
- Perform retail, clinical, and wellness services, including immunizations and flu shots.
- Ensure all pharmacy operations follow regulations and company policies.
- Maintain proficiency with pharmacy information technology systems.
- Assist with staff training and development.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university outside the United States.
- Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC).
- An intern permit or certificate issued by the Board of Pharmacy, if required by the state.
- Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 45 days of completing intern hours.
- Certified Immunizer status or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
