About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Graduate Intern position based in Goldsboro, North Carolina. You will work on-site, engaging in post-graduate pharmacy activities under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to meet State Board of Pharmacy requirements. This role is open on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage and preventive healthcare.
- Handle the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Support efficient pharmacy workflow and assist the Pharmacy Manager with financials, inventory, and customer experience.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, offering assistance, and resolving issues.
- Perform retail, clinical, and wellness services including immunizations.
- Partner with Central Pharmacy Operations for customer registration and third-party reviews.
- Manage pharmacy opening, closing, and shift change duties.
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager with staff hiring and training.
- Ensure pharmacy operations follow all regulations, company policies, and standards.
- Participate in community events and maintain current knowledge of pharmacy and healthcare practices.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university outside the United States.
- Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC).
- Valid intern permit or certificate issued by the Board of Pharmacy, if required by the state.
- Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure in the district within 45 days of completing intern hours.
- Certified Immunizer status, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
