About the role#
This position is for pharmacy graduates who earned their degree outside of the United States. You will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to fulfill State Board of Pharmacy requirements while gaining hands-on experience in a retail setting.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
- Ensure the accurate processing of insurance claims and follow up with medical providers regarding prescriptions.
- Support pharmacy workflow, inventory management, and financial optimization alongside the pharmacy manager.
- Assist with staff hiring, training, and performance management.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus, registers, automation, and StoreNET.
- Participate in community outreach and events to promote pharmacy services.
- Model customer service best practices to ensure a positive patient experience.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university outside the United States.
- Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC).
- Valid intern permit or certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy.
- Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy within 45 days of completing intern hours.
- Must be a certified immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
