About the role#
This 10-week co-op program offers students the chance to work on real business projects within our Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics group. You will bring academic concepts to life, gain professional experience, and prepare for a potential full-time role after graduation. This position is based in Schenectady, New York.
What you'll do#
- Work on real business projects within the Locomotive, Transit, Mining, and Marine Propulsion systems businesses.
- Apply your academic knowledge to practical engineering challenges.
- Explore professional interests in digital technology, including data analytics, systems engineering, and embedded software.
- Collaborate with teams to improve our products and services.
What you'll need#
- You are a current Senior enrolled in an accredited Computer Science degree program.
- You maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Experience with front end web technologies like ReactJS.
- Familiarity with Python and unit testing tools.
- Experience with gitlab and devops practices.
- Experience working in a production software development environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- You are legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Backgrounds in software architecture, systems engineering, or industrial monitoring solutions are a plus.
- Skills in UX and user interaction design are highly valued.
