About the role#
The W. L. Gore Enterprise Analytical Team seeks a student for a 3 to 6 month co-op at our Elk Mills 1 facility. You will work alongside associates with technical knowledge in medical, industrial, and commercial applications. This role supports R&D, process development, and commercialization efforts through thermal analysis and materials characterization. You will use techniques including TGA, DSC, TMA, chromatography, and spectroscopy.
What you'll do#
- Design experiments to solve problems and answer questions regarding materials and products.
- Prepare samples and perform analysis in a high-volume laboratory.
- Interpret experimental results.
- Share your findings through written reports or presentations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year before the co-op begins.
- Intent to return to your studies after the co-op.
