About the role#
This is a part-time student worker role focused on marketing support. You will work under the direction of the Manager of Donor Field Marketing to build brand awareness for our blood center and campus territories. Your work will help support blood collection needs and inspire new donors to join our mission. This position offers the opportunity to continue throughout the academic year.
What you'll do#
- Prospect and network to find new blood drive opportunities.
- Shadow the blood drive process, including account building and calendar management.
- Host sign-up tables and support event drives, which may include some evening or weekend hours.
- Create community awareness through social media outreach.
- Provide education and support for mission awareness.
- Prepare and conduct presentations for community groups.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and advocates.
- Work with the marketing and communications team to identify programs and prepare content.
- Meet project timelines and maintain accurate contact information in the pipeline tracker.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers, donors, and colleagues.
- Follow all regulatory, compliance, and standard operating procedures.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma.
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university program in Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications, or recent graduation.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently after receiving instructions.
- Proficiency with personal computers and the Microsoft Suite.
- A personal cell phone.
- A current, valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Ability to travel between events, campuses, and various locations.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule.
- Less than 1 year of experience in marketing outreach or event leadership is preferred.
