About the role#
VENUS Fashion Inc. is looking for a creative and organized intern to join the Product Development and Merchandising team. This role provides hands-on experience with the full product lifecycle, from initial concept and fittings to marketing and customer analysis. You will work across internal teams and communicate with international partners to support the development of our fashion collections.
What you'll do#
- Assist with collection development from concept through production handoff.
- Join fittings, sample reviews, and product approval sessions.
- Manage seasonal collection presentations, product data, imagery, and samples.
- Coordinate with international vendors and sourcing partners regarding timelines and development updates.
- Support the creation of AI-powered fashion imagery for new and existing styles.
- Review sales, return data, and customer feedback to find new product opportunities.
- Track key decisions and follow-ups during assortment meetings.
- Help with product execution for web, marketing, B2B, catalogs, and email.
- Handle administrative tasks and special projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current student or recent graduate with an interest in fashion, merchandising, or product development.
- Strong visual eye and attention to detail.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Basic Photoshop skills are preferred.
- Fashion technical knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to lift, carry, and organize samples weighing up to 25 lbs.
Location & details#
- Location: Jacksonville, Florida.
- Modality: Hybrid (2 days in-office, 3 days remote).
- Schedule: 32 to 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $16 to $17 per hour.
