Vast is seeking interns for the Fall 2026 term to contribute to the development of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. This program provides hands-on experience in the design and construction of space hardware and software. Interns work directly with industry experts to address real-world engineering challenges in a professional environment.
What you'll do#
- Design and build space hardware and software systems.
- Contribute to projects involving Thermal Control Systems, ECLSS, Avionics, and mechanical engineering.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to solve complex engineering problems.
- Participate in a structured mentorship program led by industry professionals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or CATIA for 3D modeling and simulation.
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles and equipment.
- A self-directed approach with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work full-time on-site.
