About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern at Valon, you will work on our platform to modernize the mortgage servicing industry. You will join an engineering team that builds tools to handle billions of dollars at scale. This role offers autonomy to learn, execute, and deliver impact within a team of experienced engineers.
What you'll do#
- Learn new technologies quickly and apply them to complex technical problems.
- Design and build infrastructure that handles federal, state, and agency regulations.
- Understand the inner workings of the mortgage industry.
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to define the customer experience.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Exceptional programming and design skills.
- Experience with web development, mobile development, distributed systems, or infrastructure management.
- Ability to build quality software applications at scale.
- Legal authority to work in the U.S.
- Deep curiosity and a willingness to ask questions.

- This role is based on-site in New York, New York.
- The position is full-time.
- Internships are offered on a rolling basis.
