    About the role#

    The Strength & Conditioning Fellowship provides training for professionals focused on high performance and tennis-specific development. This program lasts up to 18 weeks between February and June 2027. You will work with USTA staff to develop skills in leadership, player relations, and media relations. The program includes a $13,500 stipend and covers approved travel expenses.

    What you'll do#

    • Conduct independent research on strength and conditioning, player development, or coaching.
    • Run testing and set up training sessions.
    • Lead tennis-specific conditioning sessions for select players under supervision.
    • Complete online seminars, workshops, and skills training.
    • Obtain the iTPA CTPS certification.
    • Collaborate with mental skills specialists and national level performance coaches.
    • Travel to Training Centers and tournaments as required.

    What you'll need#

    • A Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or a related field earned within the last five years, or current enrollment as a graduate student in these fields.
    • CSCS certification.
    • Ability to provide references upon request.
    • US citizenship or status as a permanent resident.
    • Must be Safe Play Approved, which requires a criminal background screen, acknowledgment of the USTA Safe Play Policy, and completion of SafeSport training.

    Location & details#

    • This position is based in Orlando, Florida, with some work potentially occurring virtually.
    • The fellowship is a full-time commitment.
    • Housing expenses are not provided.
